  • wot year was this ? i was only a wee kid wen this happend but i remember it i loved it !

  • @Rickyb8 2000

  • This guy is great. I read that hen was obsessed with Queen and Mercury's singing from an early age. I can't help but wonder if such an obsession shapes your singing voice as you get older. Probably why half of the singers in indie bands nowadays sound like Jeff Buckley imitators.

  • I wouldn't say 'obsessed'. He has been a lifelong Queen fan.

  • the best freddie in the bizz, i have worked with most

  • Thanks for the comment

  • I don't know if this is true or not but this is what I read on Wikipedia:

Brian May himself has written "Gary bears a remarkable likeness to Freddie, not only in emulating Freddies unique stage persona but also accurately reproducing Freddies live vocal style and range."

When asked about One Night of Queen, Queen's Drummer Roger Taylor jokingly said that Gary puts more Freddie into a show than Freddie himself did, and he hopes Gary won't put the real Queen out of a job.

    :O

  • i nearly choked on my drink!!! this is the best sound alike ive ever ever heard!!!!

  • There was much progress since then. I saw him yesterday with The Works. One can only wonder at the amount of work one needs to emulate what was one of the best rock singers of all time. It requires power, range, endurance, and Mullen's got them all.

  • You're great Gary. This is a magic :D R.I.P FREDDIE & GOD SAVE THE QUEEN

  • I remember watching this at the time and it brought shivers down my back.., an amazing performance, and one that still moves me to this day!

  • well done garry

  • we only have one vision of freddie and that is a true star.

im the same as you.but i was born after freddie died but i have seen Gary in Newcastle and it WAS a kindda Magic.

  • This made my day. Gary seems so humble about it all. Sounds just like the great Freddie. Awesome....

  • Thank you Gary! I saw them last night in Fort Lauderdale and was so moved. I wasnt lucky enough to see the Freddie in person, this was as close as I will ever get. It was a kind of magic :)
