Saint Xavier's Shane Longest Receives Invite to NFL Combine

Saint Xavier University senior placekicker/punter Shane Longest (Wilmington, Ill./Wilmington) was one of just 10 kickers nationwide to recently receive an invitation to participate in the annual National Invitational Camp (NFL Combine) to be held in Indianapolis, Ind., from February 20-26, 2008. Longest will be the lone NAIA player represented at this year's Combine after wrapping up an extremely successful playing career at SXU finishing as the school's all-time leading scorer with 317 total points and holds numerous school records including longest field goal (55 yards), most field goals in a game (5), most points in a game by a kicker (18), most extra points in a game (7), and most points by a kicker in a season
