  • There was a series of 12 albums called The Legacy Of The Blues, compiled by Samuel Charters, with one dedicated to Robert Pete Williams. I had it when I was a kid. There was a song called "Woman You Ain't No Good" that was incredible. From Lousiana, the style is pure Delta Blues, like the heavier Robert Johnson, Son House or Charley Patton stuff. Breath-taking.

  • Still available, as "The Sonet Blues Story", as is "Free Again", another excellent album.

  • this is a guy i never heard of. wow! great movie and really cool music. what fantastic guitar.

  • For more (which isn't more) about Manthoulis have a look at the imdb

    imdb.com/name/nm0544114/

  • This is a part of the documentary "En remontant le Mississippi". It is a 1973 French production by the Greek director Roviros (Robert) Manthoulis.

It's extremely rare but i have it. If you want it let me know.

Roviros Manthoulis was self-exailed in France during the years of the Greek Dictatorship. He was an active communist with vigorous activity during Greek Resistance WWII and the subsequent civil war. His works wasn't officially supported by the Greek state due to his political views.
