Stephen Bright demos the onboard B-Band electronics of the Bartolex SPS10-EL at the "Amplifying Classical Guitar" lecture of the GFA 2010 Convention in Austin, TX
I was invited to give this BBand demonstration at the 2010 Guitar Foundation of America Competition, where all the every single one of the guitar performances were amplified -- as is common practice in major First World concert halls. As a working musician myself, with well over 100 performances a year, the BBand system is a great asset for amplified performances, which for me is about 95% of the time. Most working musicians know this already. FULL DISCLOSURE: We are Authorized BBand Dealers.
A good 10-string guitar played with a real technique does not require amplification. It can be heard in the biggest concert halls, and even outside, no problem. I speak from experience. Pay those Chinese kids building your guitars more, improve your product, string and tune it properly and learn to play it like an authority rather than just always some modal improv fragment with D, C, B, A. Maybe then you can get past being a poseur and offer your customers real advice.
This BBand model shown here is the BBand A2.2, and has the UST, AST pickups, a blend wheel, and a volume wheel. If you do a search for BBand A2.2 it will come up on the BBand site with the specs, etc. from BBand, as Youtube won't let me post a link. Thanks, Stephen
