If you think she is pronouncing it wrong then you pronounce it the "american way".

If you speak french you'll understand this: think about the verb être, to be, think about how the "e" sounds. Now say "crêpe" with that same "e" sound. She isn't pronouncing it wrong. She may have tweaked it a few times but otherwise it was fine. Take it from someone who speaks french! :D
