@Humbernio It's a tricky thing to explain, really. Some say that in the North American version of this game, the hatch stays open, but I've only played this game on an emulator, so I can't verify it personally. If you go to the GameFAQs board, you'll find my small discussion on this topic.

How do you get the morphball entrance that leads to mother brain (0:02) to stay open? Every time I pass through it it closes immediately.

VisualBoyAdvance is the emulator I use. It works perfectly. Then you can search up "Metroid Zero Mission Rom".
