Portion Size Me

Marshalls school got wind of his summer project and really stepped up to the plate and created a curriculum based unit for 5th graders. His school will be the pilot school and hopefully it will launch to the remaining elementary school 5th graders in the district. The unit includes the children taking the health and safety course that the cafeteria workers take, viewing of select videos from Marshall, the creation of a lunch menu, the costing out and inventory order of said lunch, guest speakers from various health organization and then finally preparing that planned lunch for the students.

I am really proud of our school and our district leaders for moving proactively on this.
