Actually the problem is that guy who "doesn't care" will, say, get into a motorcycle accident without insurance, and it will end up costing half a million dollars to repair his shattered skull even though he "doesn't care".
@ghostbuild ...clearly if you truely were a member of Calvary Chapel of Ft. Lauderdale then a comment like that would not even have entered your mind, especially about your own Pastor. And the fact that you boast about your "thousands of dollars in tithes" to the church, also clearly shows that you are either a liar about your givings or just another anti-christian trying to get your dig in on something you cant comprehend. Keep your comments and your "tithes" to yourself then.
I for one am very grateful that you have commented on the issue Pastor Bob. Many CHRISTian bros and sisters are not aware of the issues and where GODS word stands..and where WE should stand.(should be same place.) Amen?!
@ghostbuild God is the Creator of the universe and knows all things, so I dont understand how someone would expect a man who has chosen to be lead by God in every area of his life to not have a godly perspective on how healthcare and finances should be handled. This is a part of life and God has something to say about it--as He does with everything since that's how He directs us to life a life that is fully devoted to Him--in all areas of our lives.
@ghostbuild It's this type of mindset that limits what the church can do to help those in need. But God always finds a way and raises ppl to truly be The Body.
Not bad, but not another person speaking about "corporate greed?" This is what happens when theologians/pastors want to enter into the realm of economics. It leaves people who study economics irratated. Stick to what you study, and my guess is that Coy hasn't studied the economics of healthcare.

You should have STAYED OUT of POLITICS, Bob. My thousands of dollars in yearly tithe previously going to Calvary of Ft. Laud are going to elsewhere.
