Go here for a link to a Facebook album which has a scan of the student newspaper obituary for Boren's dead dog. Look for the article with the photo of the dog:

Former U.S. Senator David Boren, president of the University of Oklahoma, is an imperial fathead.

This is illustrated in many ways. For example, when his dog died in 1999, there was actually an article in the student paper about it, and the whole campus was expected to mourn. Later Boren had the audacity to erect a monument to the dead dog on the campus, which is public land.

Boren makes me think of Caligula, the mad Roman emperor who appointed his horse to be a consul.

Boren resigned from his seemingly safe and powerful U.S. Senate seat in 1994. At that time he was being outed as queer in the gay press and accused of sexually harassing his male staff members. Boren has managed to keep this information from being published in the mainstream press. He resigned after he was able to manipulate the OU regents into making him president of that school.

Boren and his strange crew of henchmen have been cavorting like jackasses ever since. Boren is one of the most contemptible fatheads to have ever held public office in the U.S.

  • I've been at OU for nearly 4 years, and have never seen this "MAGNIFICENT, AUDACIOUS, GLORIOUS MONUMENT" that you're bitching about. He bought the fountain, he bought the plaque, he bought the area... money going to the University. And if he hadn't, who cares? When Boren starts hanging banners of his giant face or erecting statues of him holding swords, I'd say your crying would be justified (but still immature).

  • You are stupid. You must be one of the fools on Boren's payroll. You continue to hallucinate. I never called this silly fountain "glorious" or "magnificent." You are so damn dumb that you can't wrap your tiny brain around the fact that OU is STATE PROPERTY. Understand? Boren cannot buy a piece of OU for himself, but, acting like the imperial fathead that he is, he gets away with taking a piece of public land and building a monument to his dead dog! You are the one who is "crying." Go away.

  • This isn't a monument to the dog. It's a dog fountain that was donated by the Borens in memory of their dog. You make it sound like there's a great bronze statue of Bailey outside the library steps. And yes, if you want to donate your money to the school in order to build a little fountain somewhere on campus in memory of your dog I'm sure it'd be fine.

  • Like many Boren-lovers, you don't know where truth ends and fantasy begins. Nowhere do I "make it sound like there's a great bronze statue of Bailey outside the library steps." The video shows that there is a bronze PLAQUE dedicated to Bailey on top of the drinking fountain. Try looking at it again when you're not high on meth. Next contact OU officials and see if they'll let you purchase a small piece of land on campus so you too can build a monument to memorialize your dead dog.

  • Don't they have Gardeners? That lawn looks like shit, all patchy and over grown.

  • Yes they have gardeners but Boren has been exploiting cheap untrained student labor in the physical plant department. He has also inflicted huge tuition hikes over the years, and many students have to work long hours and borrow heavily to attend OU. Along the way, Boren has been stuffing the bureaucracy with friends and cronies and paying them huge salaries. This guy is a crook. See my video of the OU trash can which was damaged after a student worker driving a cart collided with it.

  • STUDENT NEWSPAPER OBITUARY FOR BOREN'S DEAD DOG

See my text box for a link to a 1999 OU newspaper obituary about Boren's dead dog. The whole campus was expected to mourn the passing of "Bailey." Anyone not convinced by this evidence that David Boren is an imperial fathead is totally hopeless !

  • In the OU student newspaper, October 5, 1999, there was actually an obituary for Boren's dead dog. The whole campus was expected to mourn for "Bailey." I wish I were kidding, but I'm not. This makes me think of another fathead named Caligula, a mad Roman emperor who appointed his horse to be a consul.

  • He makes a good point. As an OU student, the fountain dedicated to the dog is very elite-like, and unnecessary.

  • It is a drinking fountain for dogs, but this one is very special. It is dedicated to the memory of fathead Emperor Boren's dead pooch. There was actually an obituary for "Bailey" in the OU paper when he died. The whole campus was expected to mourn. Now all the dogs in town are invited to take a drink to his memory.
