@Michael55443 ok thanks its probably going to be one of my next upgrades

@Poachy20 In my experience, the NT2-A is way better for vocals than the NT1-A. I feel the NT1-A has a harsh high end, while the 2-A is much smoother. And the difference in noise is negligible. Unless you have the hearing of Superman. It would be a great upgrade for you, if you ask me.

@rodemicrophones would a rode nt1000 benefit for vocals over the rode nt2a?

thanks. I have another question what would be a good mic pre for my NT1A. I know the one in my mbox 2 mini is not the best.

I heard that the NT2-A is not a good mic for singers. Is this true.I have a NT1 A and I'm trying to upgrade.

@Poachy20 I don't think there's really a 'bad' mic for vocals - the best thing to do is demo the mic with your local dealer and form your own opinion.
The NT2-A will give you a similar sound to the NT1-A with slightly higher noise (nominal) but you've got a bit more versatility with the variable polar patterns, PAD and high pass filters.
