  • The guy on the right seems sedated, he made me want to fall asleep. There were moments where I feared he had fallen asleep.

Also, the fun of Agricola is scrambling to feed your family.

Also, the super awkward joke at the end...who edited this?!

  • "It's sort of like Dominion".. You guys should really stop making board game reviews. Thanks!

  • Thanks guys, really liked the honesty of this review. Was helpful after I'd played Agricola and felt compelled but unsatisfied and so was trying to work out whether Le Havre was better value for me. Your real review was really constructive for me, in my humble opinion I agree with the guy on the left that Agricola despite being fun can be aggravating: yes it can be "mean" and "unforgiving". Thanks!

  • Although I understand what you're saying that Agricola has that mounting tension included in it, it is the very thing that makes it so great. The fact that you constantly have to burn your brain to maximise the potential of each worker placement makes the time go by in a flash! The game never breaks down into a cacophony of unrelated chatter, instead everyone's full attention is on the game, which is the way I like it.

  • "Unforgivable"? Sure, it's difficult but it just takes good planning to set yourself up with a food-making machine. Choose one: eat meat or eat bread. (You can mix, of course, but focusing on one will give you the strategy you need to do well enough so that you don't feel like the game is beating you down.)

  • @haxpet Maybe they forgot about the whole "You start with 3 food" thing.

  • I can't understand you guys. Agricola is one of the best games ever. The feeding struggle is just one of all the challenge in the game, it's soo challenging and fun. I will test Le Havre and Loyang as soon as I can.

  • @dajusta87 Why? They seem pretty good.

  • You have amazing chemistry, guys! Keep pumping out the reviews.
