Yes, very solid melody and intro beat. The beginning lyrics seemed a bit bland in comparision to the weight of the rest of the song, take this one and run with it...I have to say you are one of my recent finds, keep doing your thing.

Definitely pursue it, Matt. I like the quiet picking bits a lot. However, the rest of it is a more 'rocky' feel and doesn't go with the open tuned chords as well as your other songs. I don't think it is a problem with the melody - I would try ditching your usual style for more conventional barre or 'rock' chords on this one just to see how it sounds.
Otherwise - excellenté as per usual.
