Draft Day: Cody Hodgson

Hodgson was drafted in the first round, 10th overall by the Vancouver Canucks at the 2008 NHL Entry Draft in Ottawa, Ontario.

yeah i think he'll get between 40 and 50. If he was on a first or second line, he would have had 70+ points this year. Of course Canucks have too much depth right now. Excited for the future tho. ;)

Look to see him start to pile up points in 2-3 years. For now, he's on pace for 40. Pretty good as a rookie on a third line. Maybe not an instant win like Doughty, or Stamkos, but he'll definately have a future as an offensive player in the league.

@astroxin Wait until he's in his middle twenties then judge from there. The management have been throwing him in the 4th line. It's either he's a top 6 or a bust and you know how stacked the team is. I hope he makes it the second line since Kes will be out for recovery at the beginning of the season.

@Kipperluongo By overated i mean not the best good but not that good Ive watched a lot of Leafs games the East isn't as tough as the West and the fact that he plays on a team like the Leafs would make him seem better but i know that's not ALWAYS the case.

@sandman8185 yeah he plays on the 4th line, he wouldn't be up with the team if malholtra wasnt injured. Schenn overrated? Yeah, that's why he leads all nhl defenseman with hits this season and is in the top 10 more most blocked shots. If that's not defense i dunno what is.

@Kipperluongo Hello Hodgson is a center the Canucks are the top team in the NHL with centers like Henrik Sedin Kesler and Malhotra and all those guys you mentioned are on worse teams where they can get more ice time.Schenn is no where near is best defensive defenceman is agrguably the most overated player in the NHL.

@sandman8185 lmfao so you would rather have a kid who only performs in the minors, than bogosian, a great 2 way nhl defender, schenn, arguably the best defensive defenceman in the nhl, pietrangelo a highly offensive pp quarterback in the nhl, and tyler myers a massive and good two way defender. Lmao you're fucking blind buddy.
