  • Aggiungerei anche che oltre ad una perfetta tecnica belcantistica è l'unico cantante non italiano di tutti i tempi che ha una perfetta pronuncia, meglio anche di altri cantanti italiani..stupefacente!

I'd like to add that beside the perfect belcanto tecnique he is the only non italian singer to have a perfect pronunciation, better even that some modern italian singer...fantastic!!

  • Wow! I wish they had had better recording equipment then. This is beautifully done!

  • It is remarkable to compare him singing here as a bel canto early in his career with the sound of the Celtic lyrical tenor he reverted to for the concert stage during and after the First War (cf the lovely recording of "Nearer my God to Thee" also on Utube)

  • @tklogan11809 I think he did it intentionally.

  • This is the only version that comes close to Caruso's glorious 1904 version.

  • you've got to be kidding...on a par w/.j.schmidt's rendition. viva mccormick!!!!

  • did he crack in SUOI in Negli occhi suoi spunto? A bit too slow and too unsteady for my taste.

  • Singing of the highest quality. I have never heard this aria sung better.
