Taped at my Toastmaster's meeting, I explain how the brain takes in sensory information and organizes the sensations to form perceptions. This process- called sensory integration enables me to coordination vision, balance, body awareness and tactile information and motor plan in order to roller skate. At the same time, my brain receive a great deal of vestibular and proprioceptive information from the intense movement involved in skating. It wasn't easy to remember my speech and keep my balance at the same time. So please bear with me- I made one error using the workd "vestibular" when I meant to say "proprioception". See if you can catch my error.....
