The OSI model can be complex. It is also sometimes difficult to see the usefulness in a modern network implementation. Senior Technical Instructor Doug Bassett shows why it is critical for network planning and troubleshooting.

In this video, Doug goes through the seven-layer model and uses real-world examples to help understand how it works. He also discusses troubleshooting methods and tricks and techniques you can use to solidify your understanding of how networks operate. Doug also discusses several common misunderstandings that can lead even an experienced administrator astray.

If you want to learn more about networking technologies and how to ensure proper configuration, optimization and security, we invite you to attend the StormWind Epic live Network Infrastructure, ICND 1 and ICND 2 courses.

If you have any course-related questions, feel free to email our Lead Microsoft instructor, Doug Bassett, at doug.bassett@stormwind.com.

We look forward to seeing you soon.
