  • Very nice! I myself am with the 3rd PA Artillery, Battery B. About the original 53rd, I think I had an ancestor who served with them. He was captured at the Wilderness I think.

  • Nice to hear from you. We run into 53rd decendents in the funniest places. Back when the movie "Gettysburg" premiered a bunch of us from the 53rd went to the first showing in the Philly area. During intermission we starting talking to the people sitting behind us and they had an ancestor in the 53rd.
