Lady Gaga Edge of glory - Speed painting - like no Gaga you have ever seen before!

Painting time = 2 hours 15 minutes

This is my own creation for born this way. I wanted to draw Lady Gaga but there are so many pencil sketches and speed drawings out there on YouTube I did not want to draw a picture someone had already done and also I wanted to do something completely different and also out of my comfort area.

I rarely paint, or do canvases but I planned this artwork for a week and put my skills onto the canvas. I wanted it to be eye catching and like no Gaga you had ever seen, so I took lots of different elements of Lady Gaga and combined them into this concept and this is what I created. I will use parts of it and move forward with them and create more intricate Gaga paintings hopefully. I am trying to expand my skills and take steps outside of what I am used to doing. This was really exciting and whatever the comments about it, it is a step towards finding new styles for me and using elements in the future I like and think worked well.

As you can see the costumes take precidence in the painting and that is on purpose as we often associate Gaga with what she wears. We don't often focus on Stephanie behind the Lady Gaga.

It is created with acrylic and oil paint, as well as magic markers and pencil.

@DOLLiii3 Thank you, I've decided now it's not finished actually, there is too much white in it, so I'm going to be adding more colour to it I think :) I often do paintings in stages :)
