  • Lucille Ball -- the real person -- was the greatest "straight shooter" around. She was often questioned and interviewed, later in her life (as here), and you get the impression that she never edited her responses. Bam! You get the unvarnished, direct-from-the-gut answer. Lucy never radiated "class" or elegance, but, rather, a kind of "street smart" brillance at analyzing anything to do with the performaning arts. Her insight was amazing -- perhaps even greater than her own talent.

  • i agree, lucky was very graceful and tactful...she gave great interviews..never herd her say a bad thing about anyone she worked with or was married to...she never dogged desi and only had kind words for him.

  • lucy was a straight shooter, but you clearly are not familiar with her. she is very elegant and graceful, even though shes a klutz. elegance comes with beauty, and she is beautiful.

  • Yes, Lucille! Great answer to the 3:05 question!!
