If you skip school to drink and smoke, you ll gain no knowledge, you ll end up doing manual labor, using your hands. You wont enjoy a convenient life rather work yourself off, like a jackass.

I'm aware of what happens in the book, but do bear in mind that this is a Disney movie. Disney probably did not have a fate quite as cruel as that in mind as it's somewhat tamer than the book.

Did you read the book? In the original Pinocchio both guys transformed into donkeys. Pinocchio sold to a circus and break his leg. And then he will transform back. But Lampwick comes to a farmer and dies, 6 months after pleasure island.

Always hated that the movie never did show us what happened to Lampwick onscreen. He pretty much vanishes as soon as they cut away from him. Not cool Disney, not cool.
