A short demonstration of the Blade SR hovering at various different head-holding gyro gains, using a direct-drive brushless in-runner motor in place of the brushed N60 motor. Note that revo mix was performed using the DX6i radio, the on-board 2-in-1 mixer being disengaged for this exercise.

  • Hey I have one of these and for one I can't get the trim set right. Secondly after just a few small crashes nothing really broker other than the blades the tail motor has quit working. Any ideas?

  • @scoobyfan2009 The enameled copper wires inside the can are *very* thin and break with ease. A sharp knock the cable insulation leading into the base of the can is enough to do it, which unfortunately once done is really hard to repair. I did the same once after a moderately hard landing and ended up buying another motor.

  • is there a tutorial on your mod, or can you write one up for me. I am a beginner and not that technical about heli's yet. I would love to do this with my SR but am clueless on what is needed. I can do it if there was some instructions. please help!

  • @rollinolin333 I did post the info in RCgroups, so I'll dig around and find you a link. You need a computer radio like the Spektrum DX6i.

Be warned, lots of "experts" told me I had my numbers wrong, which is why I made this video to shut them up. Expect threads on this subject to be hostile.

  • does the blade sr have low voltage cut off? and how did you put in the pentium 10a speed controller? also what motor did you use for the tail. and what's your run time.

  • @daduece2144

    There's no LVC.

The ESC for the tail is held to the stem with cable ties.

This demonstration was with a Bluearrow BL-1230 4200 kv motor, although I have since gone to a GS-Models B12-30-20 3800kv motor.

  • your trainer set is upside down.they wont help you if you tip it.

  • @cubusaddendum

What did you pay for the copter. And could you do a request? Would you make a video for us noobs on how to adjust the trim on the chopper. I pretty much have spent 300 bucks and I am scared to fly it bc I just bomb it every time. Thanks M8t.

  • where did u get the brushless tail motor

  • @xoticaddiction I used a HobbyWing Pentium 10A ESC. Since recording this video I've tried a range of different 12mm brushless motors, and ended up favoring a 3800kv motor over the 4200kv motor you see here. It's a better torque match for the DD tail prop and never gets hot.

BTW You can find me as thesteelcube on rcgroups.
