I never thought that MSG was anything but a filler that they used in Chinese restaurants until I started to give up all processed foods. After a couple of months without any MSG (my food labels all had 5 ingredients or less), I ended up eating some rice that was made with bouillon - which was, of course, laced with MSG. Immediately after eating the rice, I got the shakes, a migraine started to form (I've had them since I was 7 years old), and my blood pressure dropped when I stood up.

MSG is also in many dog foods, dog treats, and dog products for arthritis.

I recently bought a very expensive "chewable" dog supplement used for maintaining health of arthritic joints. When I opened the container I was almost blown over by that OH SO FAMILIAR Boullion smell.

Looking on the label I did see that Hydrolized Vegetable Protein (HVP) was listed relatively close to the top.

Needless to say I took it back, and "educated" the vet... not that she even cared.

I think we're all going to die from hunger because there's nothing left to eat. I grow my own vegetables but they're probably only vegetable-look-a-likes :(
