That train was huge. The conditions were, if not atrocious, at least difficult. Yet no sign of any slipping on the starts. So great crew work - or did Sir Nigel know the way all by herself I wonder? I thought the train was headed southbound over the KE7th Bridge - but that wasn't Redheugh Bridge in the shot - it was the new Metro Bridge according to Google Earth

@zelo1954 - Yes the train was pretty heavy. The loco did slip a couple of times between the tunnels leaving Kx, speed fell quickly showing the diesel on the back wasn't helping. Once into Copenhagen Tunnel speed picked up and 60007 had no more problems.

@zelo1954 - Yes we worked into Newcastle over King Edwards Bridge. Note North not South which I think is causing the confusion. The Loco worked south Engine+Coach (last shot) in the dark

Another mistake is the when it says 'Belle Isle' actually it's a bit further on, just after New Southgate. It was still completely dark at Belle Isle.

Yes, I was on the run on the 28th, it was a magical sight leaving Newcastle in the fog that morning, light twinkling on the Tyne. No video as I was on my own (didn't have a son with me to do the video...) Excellent run from 60007 that day.
