I'm thinking, that given what products were used [Hydrating Eye and Face Creams, and Moisture Rich Foundation], that the model has very dry skin. Typically, folks with very dry skin don't need their makeup set with powder. Powders can cancel out all the moisture from the creams and foundations, drying out the skin and creating a chalky finish. Dry skin absorbs the products, locking in the face color better than folks with oilier skins, but I guess it all comes down to the client's desires.

Ah good point! I've never really thought of that. I'm so used to working with oily skinned people!

Yeah, I've learned this the hard way. It's times that the MAC Fix+ spray really does come in handy. The counter I work at has bottled water in a spray bottle with a very fine spray on it, and I've used it before to get rid of the chalky aftermath of over-powdering or under moisturizing/prepping. lol

what about tinted moisturisers for those who have good complexion but want a glow? which brand is the best?

I think my faves at the moment would be MAC's Studio Moisture Tint ($29.50 USD) and any of the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizers ($42.00 USD). For the money, the MAC product delivers great results and I'm pretty impressed with the final look. The Laura Mercier products are a little pricey for tinted moisturizers, but work really well, too.
