  • There exists a great illusion that all is well in China. If this were the case, it would be unnecessary for the government to implement such fierce controls over the media. As prosperity slowly whittles away at nationalism, you will see China shake off its old yoke and become a world power that can hold its head up proudly and call itself an example to all.

  • It is not the right time that China becomes the world power. The US will remain the world power for another half a century or another century. Also, the EU is even stronger than China.

Even though China has a strong influence in ASEAN, middle Eat and Africa, but Chinese influence is limited.

  • Taiwan is NOT part of China. Taiwan is Taiwan. I am an American and I think Taiwan is a country.

    我真愛台灣!

  • Nice to hear that. Yep, Taiwan is a sovereign nation. Thanks for your support!

  • Heh...I thought Li Ao had says Taiwan already in the UN and why Taiwan still needs to be in UN again? puzzle!!!

  • @Malin88888 yes but china as a pile of money, and USA is bankrupt. THe chinese kill off competition werever they go.

  • The thing is when the St. Fransico Peace Treaty was signed in 1951, Taiwan was virtually set free , free from other´s ruling.Eversine Taiwan made it´s effort and became fully functionable as a nation.

  • This coming from another ignorant bigot who thinks China is still communist, tell you what, China started walking away from Communism since 1978. USA will remain as a super power for another century? What a joke, public opinion of US leadership has already decreased damatrically, also their economy is in the worst shape since post war and depend on China for buying their debts and T bonds. I hardly believe that the USA will remain as a superpower in the next decades.

  • it's so funny to watch arguing Chinese and Taiwanese with which celebrities are prettier. does that give you any taiwan or taiwan's independence? LMAO hahahahaha

  • Taiwan should obviously be independent. China needs to change, btw im chinese too so Please dunt hate me . Chinese government is shit, useless governers for example. They have been arguin for so long about the fact that Taiwan is part of China, so what?they havent done anything about it. and the Olympic song wasafailure i dunt get why the commitee didnt choose jay chou's qian shanwan shui. And this is my belief China needs to Change. Peac, this is just my opinion please dunt feel offended by it

  • its obvious that taiwan should be recognised as a country they are still the official government just because they were forced out by the communist scum does not prevent them being legitimate. the PRC should be forced to abandon this ridiculous one china policy
