This is the Puma 500 Robotic Arm; dwelling in N block with other larger robots. Here I am using the robot in my Mechatronics Module.
The robot is on a round table, inside a room with a glass wall so you can see inside; the key to the door to the room, is chained to the key for the computer that controls the robot; the key to the robot is required for commands from the computer to be carried out, this prevents the robot from functioning while the door to the room is open. (the idea is nobody can operate the robot while the door is open and accidentally clobber someone on the head)
Here the robots task is organising golf balls; there are five normal golf balls, and one lighter plastic ball; the robot weighs each ball to test the weight and then puts the heavier ones into a rack, and seperates the lighter one into an aluminium cup.
I programmed the robot in a special programming language written by the manufacturers for the arm. Can't remember what it was called...
it is if you dont have any idea of how to do it!

Hey if you didn't already know, you should be able to type "ed" instead of the full word edit, save yourself the typing practice :)
