In our third episode of Songs We Wish Were Ours we attack a well known song called "That Lucky Old Sun".
The music was written by Beasley Smith, the lyrics by Haven Gillespie. The song was published in 1949.
Many have recorded it but none have arranged it the way Olav Larsen arranged it for The Alabama Rodeo Stars' YouTube version.
Enjoy!!!
i think you guys enjoy playin' as much as i like listenin'. great playin' guys.

Hi Olav,
My parents went to your gig in Irvine, Scotland and really enjoyed your performance. Thanks for chatting with them at the stage door, it was much appreciated. They said you and the boys were lovely fellows. They've been spreading the word...
You've got a great sound and I'm going to look for some more of your songs. Terrific stuff. Travel safe and have a ball.

Thanks for your comment. We're from Norway, the band name comes from a stupid t-shirt we saw just before our first concert. However, you're welcome to do a video on us nonetheless :-)

You guys are really good. I have a question: are the Alabama Rodeo Stars actually from Alabama? I do videos about interesting Alabama places and unusual Alabama artists. If you're local I'd like to do a video piece on the band.
