Carowinds Rollercoaster Gold Rush April 2009

I apologize for the crappy video taping. This was the first time I ever attempted video'ing while on a rollercoaster.

Originally this was only going to be sent to family through email, but it was too big for yahoo and here I am lol.

This is my sons favorite ride. He loves how fast it is.

Shortly after I took this footage we got back in line to ride the Gold Rush and then we were going to drive back home to Myrtle Beach. We finally get to the front of the line and they had to send the coaster out empty. My son looked disappointed and a woman attendant said to him, "Dont worry honey. It will come back and you can get ride it. I promise." Well the cars came around, we sat in. They let my son buckle up, and then apparently they switched attendants. The woman that told him he could ride was still there but now there was another woman who was very rude and then made my son unbuckle and get remeasured. She then said he was right on the line so she couldnt let him ride. My son was heart broken and started to cry. We explained we just wanted to ride and go home and that it was his favorite ride and he has been on it this year and last year, but this woman would not budge or even act like she cared.

Luckily, we consoled Aaron and got him on another ride (They Flying Dutchman). There was a very nice lady ride attendant, (Courtney was on her name tag) who made sure my son had a good time and was happy after she heard what happened.

Regardless, I am glad I have this on tape so Aaron could relive this from the comfort of his home again and again, until I can get better footage.

I am glad everyone enjoys this ride as much as my son and I do! :) Its perfect for me because there are no big dips but lots of speed! Its the first ride we usually go on. Hope y'all enjoy your summer!! I know I will be going back again soon!!

Ahh the goldrusher My favourite :) they made it alot better now with more drops and twist and turns But I miss the green car

L0L when I went on that ride me and my friend forgot to hold onto the bars and we almost flew out of the coaster. lol good time good times.

This is what a friend told me this ride is like: It's just like a train ride. I got on it and loved it!!!! I kinda got scarred. Oh Well
