Great vid mate. Funny, even over here in NorCal less than 5mins from Mav's, the best SUPs wind up leaving the paddle in the car so they just enjoy width, length and thickness without all that silly Lairdness. Lesson being: more foam is good.

Gidday mate, just scratching about looking for a board and considering one of these. How do they go in the surf?? Cheers.

Pretty good. Admittedly, they don't turn as grippy as a 'solid' board, but - huge point in their favour - they don't hurt when they hit you (or anyone else) in a wipeout! You end up going for crazy stuff on them, just laughing. And you can take them everywhere so easily cos they pack up so small. Check out thepaddlecompany website or facebook page, some of the pix there from a guy riding them in some fierce surf out in Samoa, getting big barrels.

(It wouldn't let me write the web address, but if you just google NZ paddle Company you'll find the site)
