This runway is quite unique in a way that the runway is upslope until half way down the middle, after that it's downslope again.
Usually we'd vacate the runway at the first high-speed taxi way which is just a beginning of the downslope. But today it's closed.

So unlike a flat runway that you can let the speed decay by itself if you want to go all the way to the end of runway. This one you have to slow down even before you reach the down hill part otherwise you'll end up with heavy braking near the end of runway.

  • the descent rate was pretty quick at the end there.

  • @Bizija123 Once again, if you read the video info, you'll understand. The runway is upslope from the beginning till half way, then it's downhill. To make a 'greaser' landing here, the touchdown vertical rate would actually be a few feet per minutes UP(not down) !!! That meant the airplane is making a slight 'climb'. And you had to take a lot of things into consideration... threshold speed, rotation (flare) point and rate, power reductions, etc.
