I am sorry, but how can you say that suicide is selfish and then say that they should think about the people they love. So the people they love wants to have this person live in agony just for their sake, for them to not feel guilty or hurt or regret? That's pretty selfish. People who commit suicide deal with pain on a daily basis and it's not temporary. People calling it a selfish act or that it's a permanent solution to a temporary problem, have no idea.

Suicide is perfectly understandable in this world. Nothing but shit, lies, false hope... people only pay attention to those who are about to commit suicide right at that moment, but as soon as they say, "Oh, I'm okay, I'm not going to kill myself", then all those "caring" people let you back out into the wilderness. I don't kill myself because, A.) I wouldn't be allowed in Heaven, and B.) I'm too lazy to write the suicide note anyway.

It's not for other people to judge whether a person is right or wrong for committing suicide, because they have insufficient information to come to the right conclusion. If you feel suicide is never the answer, that's because you are looking at life through a different lens. For people with mental health problems, their lens is skewed and if you face unimaginable hopelessness, whether its real or perceived in ones mind, suicide does feel like a viable option.

@got2many I know I will never believe in God. If he comes down and chats with me, yeah, i'll believe. But there's no evidence therefore I don't believe. And I do care, I care a lot. Which is why I volunteer for Samaritans in Scotland. And thats' one of the reasons I HATE people saying stuff about God. When you hear people live right on the edge, you can't believe. And according to the bible (I went to Catholic school) he's omnipotent, so he'd have everything to do with suicide.

@killabean @killabean They don't imagine what happens when someone finds them. They don't imagine what it does to other peoples' lives. They don't think about anyone else but THEMSELVES. They don't ask for help. They are selfish. End of story. Their parents and family think it's their fault. "What could I have done?" But it's not their fault.

@FireyTouch god has nothing to do with suicides. tired of people like you that blame god for bad things. i don't know god but i'm sure he can't do anything about it but watch just like the rest of us. if he did stop death then we would all be immortal like freakin vampires. so you're dumb ass point makes no sense. keep believing he doesn't exist because when the moment comes you will believe. why don't you start caring and stop being an asshole.

I'm sorry, but to call people that commit suicide cowards or weak is wrong. As far as i'm concerned it takes alot of guts and courage to put a shotgun in your mouth or a rope around your neck, or to jump off a high structure. Some people might not understand it, but that does not mean it is wrong.

That 911 call they show at 6:41 is really gut-wrenching.

Hold onto those you love. If they have a problem, be there for them. I don't know why this boy chose to do this, but chances are he thought it was something he couldn't talk about, or that his family wouldn't understand. Never let your loved ones think that. Never. It's better to get over your silly inhibitions about "touchy feely" matters than to bury someone because they thought you wouldn't listen.
