Frank Kimmel, Street Stock Enduro, Kentuck Speedway

Highlights from the Frank Kimmel promoted street stock enduro race at Kentucky Speedway May 24th, 2008. Chuck Barnes Sr. pulled out the victory for the second consecutive year after overcoming several on-track incidents, one of which resulted in a DNF for frontrunner, John Collins in the #59 car. Just 1 car - that's enough!! Like you, money is really tight for us right now. Sponsorships are extremely hard to find these days. So, not sure how our program is going to play out. I'd like to say we're optimistic, but the truth is, we're not. As a side business, we're actually doing promotional videos for race teams - to use as a highlight reel or for sponsor prospecting. If you're interested, let me know. Cost is low (around $500) for something professional looking that lasts forever!

I was there, and will have to say that race was a blast to watch! Amazing the 51 came from the back with 15 or so to go and win the thing. I think I saw the field go 7 wide at one point.

we went and got involved in several wrecks, and just lasted it out and got 23rd.

That's a good idea. I'll pass the info along to other drivers if u are flexable in going to dif tracks. We have raced at ColumbusMotorSpeedway, Kil-Kare, Shadybowl, & Mansfield, met alot of people that liked the videos my youngest made for fun, we picked up sponsors from them so it works. let me know what tracks u do & I'll help get the word out! Thats Racing!!!
