  • The Gibson ES-150 AKA 'Charlie Christian' is a 16 inch guitar and IMHO one of the best sounding (Jazz) guitars ever. I have a Daniel Slaman ES-150 and it's really great

  • @Blijdenstein I think so too! I have a 1937 Gibson ES-150 with a EH-150 amp of the same year, best guitar sound in the universe (think René Thomas "All Morning Long", the recording is on YouTube). So dynamic, horn-like, beautiful trebles. I also have a 1965 Gibson ES-125TC with its P90 but I don't get the same clear sound out of it. I'd love to test a Slaman ES-150 to compare.

  • Is Jimmy a big guy? It looks like he's playing a 3/4 size guitar.

  • @CTrane88 No, it's a regular Gibson ES-150 from 1938 (not as big as a L5 for instance), and he was average size.

  • Wow, you have the classic Charlie Christian setup! Daniel makes great ES-150 and ES-250replica's, Google his name to find his websites. I did two interviews with Daniel for Just Jazz Guitar Magazine. All the best, Aad Overeem
