@TheUSMetalhead And dont forget OnStar aint free, and they can track you 24/7 or shut you down with a push of a button. Never forget the EV1 experience folks.
@RichardE8ST totaly agree If I buy a electric car I would choose a chevy volt because you can't always charge up your car at public places so with the gasoline generator I can travel 300 Miles or little bit further.
A few notes on this over-priced heap. Only 10k will be made in 2011, and for 2012-2014 GM is expected to only produce less than 100k, this is not only because this battery technology will be surpassed by upcoming independent battery and auto makers, it's to keep the price of the volt HIGH, est. 46k for basic Volt 60k for full package, and the $7,500 tax credit will be reduced by 2011 and it's only for people who can afford to buy one, not lease. Avoid the Volt, there will be superior EVs soon.
The original EV1 had inferior battery technology but it still got MORE per charge than the Volt(over 100 miles) but the battery they created before they killed the GM EV line around 2002 got 300+MPC. Unfortunately, GM with the force of big oil and our own government, sold these battery rights to Chevron and then bought out Hummer. GM could of been the hero and got us out of our oil dependence, but they sold out to big oil along with congress. Shameful
Thrilled to see this turnaround from GM.

I just verified with an agent that a subsription to OnStar is included for free for (5) five years with the Volt.

How can the EV1 give lessons to the Chevrolet Volt, it no longer exists. (LOL) The Chevrolet Volt is the reigning supreme now.

It's clearly the best electric car on the market.
