  • For a mainstream American film critic with a relatively ignorant audience, he did a pretty good job selecting representative films. Of course there are gaping holes and missing genres, but he only had ten slots. Imagine doing the same for American cinema? (Xie xie! :P

  • "a chinese odyssey" is not on here!!!!

but then again, it'd be too complicated for the western audience.

  • Yeahh.. Chungking Express.... well, as an ordinary Chinese who favor Bridgitte Lin, here's some of my suggestion: Peking Opera Blues, New Dragon Gate Inn (1992), Red Dust (1990), and The Swordsman II.

  • what about crouching tiger hidden dragon and kung fu hustle????

  • @LongDong12inches xD i olwase loved you

  • @reemstrrr

Will you love me long time? My little chinese dumpling. Mushu Pork, Sweet & Sour chicken, Wonton Soup. I fancy a chinese girl with big breast.

  • @AshitaNoKanousei42 brainless ignorance (mostly american)

  • i like the video bud it should be called Favorite Chinese kungfu Movies

becase thats the only genre you pickt in this video it looks like china only makes kungfu movies

becase i think that the ppl who realy love and watch chinese movies (like me) would not pick

kungfu movies as top 10chinese movies

  • Interesting. But the author definitely missed many other great ones between 1934 and 1990s. Chinese movies stars from the old days were much more talented than Gong Li, Joan Chen, or Jackie Chen. If the author tries to be an expert in this field, he needs to get himself be familiar with the names like Zhou Xuan, Jin Yan, Bai Yang, Zhao Dan, Tao Jing, Wang Danfeng, Qing Yi, etc. Chinese had a crowd of stars in Shanghai similar to the Hollywood back then.

  • Richard, you got the 'Bei jing' pronunciation pat down. However, it's pronounced as 'sheeay sheeay' (xie xie) as compared to 'shay shay'.

  • @AshitaNoKanousei42 It's part of China since July of 1997. Welcome to the present, dear.

  • And of course the had to mention jet li bruce li and jackie chan they are the best of the best :P
