@nyhamnen The source is the book 'ABBA - The complete recording sessions' Written by Carl Magnus Palm. Published by Century 22 in 1994 (ISBN 0-907938-10-8) Featuring input and interviews with all 4 members of Abba, Their Sound engineer and all of the session musicians. This is probably the most in depth and well researched book on Abba ever to be published. Out of print but you may find a copy on ebay or amazon. It catalogues all of Abba's recording sesions. Rare and expensive, but worth it!

@nyhamnen The video footage IS 100% genuine live , the audio footage ISN'T. The audio was recorded seperately, overdubbed, remixed and put back onto the video footage. This is well known!
From interview with Micheal B Tretow: Sound engineer
'The recordings would later be subject to extensive overdubbing in Sweden, particularly the vocal parts. Their voices would disappear from the microphones because they couldn't possibly concentrate on singing when they were so busy putting on a show'

Great perf, I like those rought vocals, even if that's not as "perfect" as studio version, that's the way I like music. Pity that audio quality is bad.

With regards to my comment below, here is some places with this book for sale. Hopefully this will help any doubters out there of my knowledge and facts! The publisher and the Author himself have no copies left, but Amazon UK have 9 available between £49-£99. Amazon USA 9 copies between $85-$279 and Amazon DE have 2 copies Euro108. Prices have rocketed the past couple of years! The book was £12.95 when new! Well worth the investment. The book is a bible to any hardcore fan!

"Well Known" ? What is the source of this? And by source I mean what can be verified and controled by anyone . Where can we find this information? Information that can be reached and controled by everyone?

There sems to be a lot of confusion about an earlier comment I made. Abba can sing live, but there are some bad vocals on some bootleg recordings, such as this one. Abba's musical strength was the studio, and should be remembered as such.
Just to make it clear that the following stuff is not 100% genuine live stuff'
Abba the movie - most of this was rerecorded during Sep 1977
Abba live in concert 1979 - And Dick Cavett show 1981, mostly overdubbed and remixed.
All of this is well known!

Well, everyone is happy with his own believes....... you think the part with Anni-Frid dancing is also studio....?

@nyhamnen Thanks for the link, but I think you have misundrstood me. These live wembley live tracks are not really live, they have been heavily overdubbed, re-recorded and remixed in the studio. Abba were great live singers, there are genuine live tracks out there with good vocals. But Abba in concert, Abba that movie and parts of Dick Cavett are not genuine live tracks. Abba strength was the recoding studio.
This comment has received too many negative votes show
This is not ABBA. Maybe it's from the musical Mamma Mia or something...?
