Thanks for your quick response.I am in total agreement and also find most of my Grade 1 students challenged by the tempo so that in the end I have to compromise and lose that "lusty' tempo.

The M.M is minim = 80. My students who are mainly in primary found it quite hard. For an exam, the tempo is a guideline. It would be better to have a slower confident performance than a rushed one where the student is obviously stretched. However, faster would bring out the dance character better. Regards
