  • If you mean the "letter" it is supposed to be Cherubino's appointment to the army.

  • no it was a joke/comment:

at 4:18 , 5:29 , and 5:47 (he was moving and he stopped when he had to sing)

It's not a good position for an opera singer ( I know it's very difficult to have a natural attitude but look at Rodney Gilfry, he has a perfect attitude)

who is the singer who sings don basilio part

I love the 5:14 extract, don bartholo is great!

  • Why does Figaro say it's a list of the alehouses? Is he saying it's the gardener's or something?

  • @orphan567 It's supposed to be a "redecilla" a kind of hairnet or snood typical of the 18th century spanish peasants. Take a look at this painting of Goya

  • Why is Figaro wearing a bonnet?

  • Great tempo for the final septet.

  • Bryn, how young you look. Choochy face!

This 2nd Act Finale must be the greatest operatic music ever composed.

  • Bryn Terfel is the best Figaro ^^

  • It's "Susanna" and she is Alison Hagley. The other version is also from Glyndbourne and features Renee Fleming as the Countess and Gerald Finley as Figaro.

  • Mozart + Da Ponte= coktail esplosivo!!!!

  • That version of barber of seville was so bad :( Bartoli did all she could to save it
