Did you run the automatic with triptonic shifting or just let the car handle it? I just got an 05 g35. Trying to set expectations before i head for the track.

traction control OFF and leave it in drive.

when i put it in tiptronic it lags inbetween gears and actually hurt my 1/4 times

nope not at all. D is faster and more efficient through gear changes from 2-5. manual override is there only as a driver convenience and for high rev launches from first gear.

@wixch ya it happened to me a couple times and i lost the race, so after you leave it on drive, you dont loose horsepower cuz its on D?thanks
