Reversing Ikkyo.
This is a short video of a reversal technique for Ikkyo.
In ACE Aikido (we are the Only dojo that teaches this style) we adhere to the principle of "Kinesthetic Invisibility" which means that if you are connected and are moving with your partner properly, from Center and with Ki not muscle (thus the first level of the "Harmony" aspect of AIkido), they won't feel anything being "done" to them.
When a technique is done this way, it is almost impossible to reverse, because there is nothing Uke feels that they can find to reverse. When physical reference is obvious in a technique, i.e., when someone tries to clearly "do something" to their partner and they feel it, the reference can often be used to reverse the technique.
Here is a subtle reversal of Ikkyo using that notion. As soon as I feel the application of Ikkyo, I stay with the connectionand allow Nage to lose his center/balamce (Kuzushi) rather than being controlled by the technique.
Again, as in all our Aikido, connection and Kuzushi play important/interesting roles.
Since I am teaching this, it is done Slowly.
