True. I think with sufficient motivation, the act of suicide itself does not take much courage. Perhaps a lot of contemplation, but not necessarily courage. I think regardless of ideology, the outcome is the same - the person is gone. Whether people believe they died bravely or not is no longer of consequence to the person, and neither is anything else. In many ways death is an escape. Whether we find it voluntarily or not, whether we kill ourselves out of weakness or not, we have escaped.
But from my subjective opinion titling 'it' cowardice or courage should be based upon context (the circumstances surrounding the situation):
If some guy wants to suicide because his girlfriend left him then 'perhaps' it is cowardice?
On the other hand, if some person has accepted a nihilistic ideology and decides to suicide, then 'perhaps' it shows courage that he/she rejected their cultural and societal conditioning?
I think from an objective stand point it's a matter of subjectivity. Titling 'it' cowardice or courage is based upon cultural and social conditioning.

What? Why would you want to add suicidal people to the burgeoning prison population?

Suicides should be legal but with high restrictions and a judge to make the final decision.

It should be illegal to commit suicide. Anyone who commits suicide should be given a minimum of 10 years in prison IMHO!
