I love the triangle concept, it actually helps to understand alot of aikido throughs too such as irimi nage etc, where the way it works is by taking the attackers balance rather than using strength, but the conceptual understanding of the triangle makes it easier to understand why it works. Bravo...wish i could watch the full tape of this.

@Haseeb2 I agree with you Haseeb2. To add to it, I would say as a practitioner of Ryukyu Kempo myself for over 25 years now, that most practitioners see traditional arts as something like Japanese Shotokan which is really contemporary. My father and other instructors trained in Okinawa and what is taught mainstream and what is taught to family is two different things. So, I could go on and on, but thanks for your comment.

I clicked this not knowing Janich would be in it. I am consistently unimpressed with his approach to training. Good knife designer, dated training methods.

Fantastic video. Thank you so much.

All traditional martial arts are effective in real life, that is why they were developed in the first place. The key is timing and positioning. Executing a side kick to the midsection at a close distance like that is not a good technique. The low side kick is fine, but you need more distance for an effective midsection side kick. At close distance, a knee to the midsection would be a much better option.

"You probably may have guessed that I don't care." Love it lol. Awesome video, great explanations. Everything was clear and concise, great job, keep 'em coming.
@bustonyomom shut up this is a thinking person who has decided to sift through the bullshit of the martial arts and bring us the techniques which really work in the street.
