This is very unsafe, Purdue should fix this. It lets anyone lock a rooms inhabitants in if their door is lock. Pretty much, just twist the handle all the way left and they won't be able to unlock the door and come out!

  • another way to do it is to leave the key in.

  • Bit of a fire hazzard.

  • I had the opposite at my dorm. When I left the room and let the door shut on its own, it wouldn't latch. So we just had an open door policy on our floor and everyone would drop in. It was pretty tight until the MAN came and "fixed" the door. What ever happened to individual's rights!?

  • This happened to my room at Earhart all the time, just naturally, the deadbolt wouldn't move. They are just jank locks

  • Very nice.

  • Way too much time on your hands, do some homework or something. haha.
