  • Great chivalric chess-match. Given how tight Sir Kiegan was on his sword/hilt blocks, the last flurry by sir Morgan is especially impressive. It really was a matter of "who flinches first." Gtreat Finals. Herzog Dietrich, Caid

  • excellent, thanks. seems pretty cool.

  • The other part of acknowledging a blow, is that is has to land with sufficient force and angle on the armor. The guidelines are if a mailed opponent was fighting with metal swords, what amount of force would damage or maim your enemy. To the face= very little. To the arms=more. To the body=a lot. Also, helmets make a nice 'tang!' when you hit them, which helps to convince people to acknowledge the shot :)

  • thanks!

  • the exact scoring depends on the tourney rules, however it is usually a "killing" blow to the body or head. Acknowledgement of blows are left to the fighters honor. So in a sense , yes , first to acknowledge he was bested

  • im not familiar with a competition of this sort. where do you score a killing blow, just in the head? are there scores or just the first to admit he was bested?
