Veuve Clicquot's Vintage Champagne is one of life's special treats. This week on the Classic Wines Minute Brian Freedman visits with Charles Curtis, the director of wine and spirits education for Moet Hennessy, to learn more about the qualities of vintage Champagne. Join us to learn what food pairings go well with Champagne, how long to keep vintage Champagne, and the complexity that vintage Champagne has on the nose and the palate.

Visit us at The Classic Wines Minute to view all of our wine videos, and at ClassicWines.com to find your favorite Champagne.

  • what an amazing bullshit parade

  • I imagined the guy on the right falling out of the chair and died laughing.

  • My coworker would like to know if it is pronounced veuve clicqout with an (koh) sound at the end or with a (wah) sound at the end.

  • Worst champagne ever... Very bitter, brioche tasting. And the effervescence was lacking... It went flat fast.. even with a cork, Which is why in the video they say its best to drink fast; otherwise, in 2 hours it will be flat... Try Moet, or G.H.Mumm, both good... though the latter has more bubbles, it is more bitter... makes a good Mimosa.. half OJ half champagne

  • I love Clicquot!

Ups dropped off 3 bottles of Veuve Clicquot Yellowboam Galuchat.

They are 3-liter bottles so much fun will be had!

  • @bjorsak

Good Lord...can you be any more of a snob? SMH...youtube snobbery. And I thought I saw it all...

  • Just bought the regular veuve clicquot for new years eve. Hope it taste good.

  • @Greeneyez2475 Depends on the wine and storage temperature. Wines like Dom Perignon from a good vinatge like 1996 with plenty of acidity and stored at a fairly low temperature can go for decades. Wines that have spent a long time on the lees, from lesser vinatges, stored closer to room temperature will age faster. So Bollinger RD 1997 will be great in 3-5 years time while Dom Perignon 2002 will probably be to young in 8-10 years time.

  • disgusting ......... "i like alcohol"
