Philippines is a country renowned for both a vibrant culture of singing and dancing and for endemic social problems like poverty, corruption and crime. But here in the southern province of Cebu, a powerful family is trying to change that, turning violent criminals into model citizens -- one dance step at a time.

  • I think that what the Garcias are doing is so positive. Other people are just so quick to judge negatively. Positive thinking promotes positive outlook, why can't we just start there? We have it in our hands to change the world for the better. All we have to do is act on it!

WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

  • TO THE SIR WHO IS TALKING NEGATIVELY I DON'T KNOW WHO THE HECK YOU ARE BUT I THINK YOU ARE JUST BITTER BECAUSE THEY WERE THE ONE WHO THOUGHT OF THIS AND NOT YOU.. why can't you be proud of them when they are doing everything they can to rehabilitate these people.. HOW COME YOU THINK OF THOSE PEOPLE AS ROBOTS,, THEY WOULDN'T DO THAT IF THEY DON'T WANT TO.. WHAT DO YOU WANT? KILL THESE PEOPLE ONCE THEY COMMITTED A CRIME.. BITTER SH*T..

    like this if im correct

  • You know your doing something right when you can keep the jail cells open and inmates can walk by each other without trying to shank each other, also, when people who want to interview the inmates can just walk in and the inmates are all "hello sir! good day sir!"

  • @"Im not a politician." Real politicians are quick to claim credit for popular things. You only have to search for the original uploader of the original dancing inmates video to know who really thought of and implemented the dancing.

  • Well it does work in North Korea... There is something about forcing people to perform en masse that messes them up and makes them compliant.
