"never been any evidence that people vote for their own gender or race"....then why is it well documented that well over 90% of black Americans voted for the black candidate? It was pretty close to 50-50 for all of the other "sub-groups" that were studied.
You *could* make an argument that black Americans have a reason to "stick together"....but at the same time, you *could* argue that racism against non-blacks is now a bigger problem than racism against black Americans.

i think he undermined his whole point if races does not exist then a child of black-white can be called black. because the "black race" is just a social construct. if he says that obama is as white as black then that means he think race does exist becuase he is just saying obama is a hybrid of 2 (real) races.
