http://www.hoop-hype.net This is a basketball animation of a basic introduction to a unique basketball Zone offense called the Diamond zone offense. I was taught this offense by Brian Goorjian from Australia. I then made a few modifications and adjustments. I did NOT create this offense.

  • Thanks for the idea of having a nice diamond shape set on the strong side. your short corner pass would work few times for sure and get an easy bucket, then I would have the weak side post on "8:36 Frame" to screen the weak side defender for a cross pass to the weak side shooter. X4 can't close out hard on that shot cause the ball would be driven baseline 3 on 2... I like this set play, thanks

  • I have been running something similar the past 5 years. Our first objective is to force the forward out to the wing to leave only 2 baseline defenders. Our wings catch pretty low, between the level of the midpost and the SC. We start in a 1-2-2 w. our posts behind the back board and L-slide into the hi-lo. Once the PG passes to W, he fades to opposite slot. When we hit SC, the MP dives to hoop and opp wing flashes

  • me dormi con este tipo..... despues lo veo.

  • what is the name of that program?

  • how is this one differ to triangle offense??

  • Good stuff bro. I like this play. My friends and I always get flustered when we play against a zone cause most of our plays are against man-to-man D.

Btw, whats this program your using?

  • It's rare that people who play the 4 is a good passer (except for C-Webb)

  • If you cannot get the ball to the short corner you look to get it to mid post or simply reverse the ball through the top and re-set. Simple and effective. Use your imagination and ideas to modify it for the needs of your team.

  • i ran this zone offense with my pacrim team. it's a great play if you have a great passer in the 4 position.

  • this really makes the zone move, and the skip pass looks good
