"First Time" is singer Robin Beck's first significant chart hit, released in 1988. It was originally recorded for a Coca-Cola commercial the same year and subsequently released as a single. The single was released in the UK in October 1988 and climbed to #1 and spent 3 weeks there in November/December 1988, spending 14 weeks in total in the UK Singles Chart.
In 2003, the song was covered by Unique who achieved a minor success in Switzerland.
In 2006, Sunblock, an electronic music group from Sweden recorded a cover of the song with Robin Beck for their second single and it became their second Top 10 hit, charting at #9 on the UK Singles Chart (see 2006 in British music).

Songs like this have been in my head since I was a kid back in the 80's! I was completely glued to the tele back in those days, and now I produce animation, and music! People want to put down commercialism, but in the 80's the corporations raised things to an artform!

wow! 1988????? I thought it was much later. I was born 1986. real surprise. The best songs was from the 80s and 90s I think. At least thats what I think.
