Could you imagine Bill Peet's original vision of The Jungle Book being released instead of the wonderful version we all know and love?

To my opinion, if Bill Peet's version came out, Disney Animation would have been finished for good. Thank God for Walt discarding the original material and telling everyone to have fun with it!

He is the one who starts talking when the book opens to show Mowgli, and then they show him talking throughout.
